As I am sure you all know, the Constructing Excellence Plymouth and Exeter Clubs have ‘Adopted’ the Atrium Studio School, supporting students in Years 9 to 13 specialising in the built environment. Opened in 2015 in an architect-designed building, Atrium Studio School provides a stand-out education for students aspiring to professional careers in areas including Architecture, Interior Design, Ecology, Structural Engineering, Surveying and Planning.
The school is hosting a Oktoberfest Family Fun Day on Saturday 13th October 2018 from 10:00am to 1:00pm to help promote careers in the Built Environment.
They would love for any construction related companies or industry professionals to get involved, as it will be an ideal opportunity to promote built environment careers to those young people who will be the professionals of the future!
Ways you could get involved:
- Come and set up a careers in your company display stand (opportunities for informal discussion with students and parents regarding apprenticeships/work placements)
- Fund or provide a Raffle prize
- Interactive ideas or activities (drone flying, hook a duck, build a dam activity, use a total station, etc.)
Food will be provided to those companies attending the event and there will be loads of fun activities. This is a community family day so why not bring your family and friends along too?
